Final Countdown: FS NHS Charity Walk Set to Raise £2,500 for Birmingham Children’s Hospital

Facilitate Search Supporting Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity through FS in the Community

Facilitate Search Steps Up Again for the Community

A vital part of who we are at Facilitate Search (FS) is our commitment to giving back – a promise we call ‘FS in the Community’. Since launching the initiative in 2022, our team has raised over £20,000 for local causes, and we’re not slowing down.

This Thursday, 28th August, the FS team, joined by family and friends, will lace up their walking shoes for THE BIG FS NHS CHARITY WALK – a challenge to cover 22 miles, visit five Birmingham hospitals, and raise at least £2,500 for Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity.

Five Hospitals, 22 Miles, 50,000 Steps

The ambitious route will take the team:

  • From Russells Hall Hospital in Dudley
  • East to Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QE Hospital) in Selly Oak
  • North to Midland Metropolitan University Hospital (Midland Met) in Smethwick
  • Across to Heartlands Hospital in East Birmingham
  • And finally finishing at Birmingham Children’s Hospital in the city centre

That’s eight hours of walking and roughly 50,000 steps, all for a cause close to our hearts. Many of the hospitals along the route are operated by valued FS clients, including Equans UK & Ireland and Mitie – so we’re hoping to spot a few familiar faces along the way.

Not Too Late to Donate

We’ve now gone live with our JustGiving page, and we’d love your support. Every donation makes a difference to the remarkable work Birmingham Children’s Hospital does every single day for sick children and their families.
