At Facilitate Search, we believe in giving back. Every year, we commit to supporting local charities through fundraising events, community initiatives, and partnerships. This is our ‘FS in the Community’ pledge – our way of making a difference beyond the workplace.
We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved so far, but this is just the beginning. As part of our FS in the Community commitment, we’ll continue finding ways to make a meaningful difference through charity events, fundraising efforts, and local partnerships.
2022: A 20-Mile Charity Walk
In our first-ever charity event, we took on a 20-mile walking challenge across the West Midlands’ most iconic football grounds. Starting at Wolverhampton Wanderers, we made our way to West Bromwich Albion, then to Aston Villa, and finally ended the journey at Birmingham City Football Club.
The challenge took us 6.5 hours to complete, but the effort was well worth it – we raised an incredible £1,500 in aid of Birmingham Children’s Hospital, helping to support the vital work they do for young patients and their families.
2023: The Inaugural FS Charity Cup
Building on the success of our first event, we launched the FS Charity Cup, bringing together local businesses, colleagues, and football fans for a great cause.
With over 120 attendees on the day, the tournament was a huge success, raising £4,000 for Birmingham Children’s Hospital. The event highlighted the power of community, sport, and generosity, and we were thrilled to make an even bigger impact.
2024: Taking on Birmingham City FC Legends
This year, we took things up a notch, going head-to-head with a Birmingham City FC team featuring staff and former players, including Carling Cup winners Craig Gardner and Roger Johnson.
The match was a fantastic occasion, full of competitive spirit and community support. More importantly, it helped raise an outstanding £10,778 for the Birmingham City Foundation, supporting their work in grassroots football, community engagement, and charitable initiatives.
2025: What’s Next?
We’re already planning our next big community initiative, and if the past few years are anything to go by, it’s going to be another exciting event! We’re committed to pushing ourselves further to support great causes, and we can’t wait to share what’s in store. Keep an eye on our LinkedIn profile for more details!
Two Events This Year!
The first taking place this summer is The Big FS NHS Charity Walk. We’ll be travelling across the West Midlands visiting each of the major NHS Hospitals and covering almost 30 miles, most of these sites are run by our clients including EQUANS & Mitie so hopefully we can say hello.
The second will be our annual FS Charity Cup in September! Opposition to be confirmed but the Facilitate Search team will be aiming to retain the cup 🏆 ⚽️
